How to prevent a blocked drain

Prevention starts with daily habits. Cooking grease, wipes, hair, food remains and repeated corrosive products encourage deposits and blockages.

In kitchens, avoid pouring oils into the sink and clean filters regularly. In bathrooms, remove hair before it builds up in the trap.

If drainage slows down, sewer smells appear or gurgling sounds return, the pipe may already be partially obstructed. Preventive cleaning is then more effective than a late emergency.

Are chemical products enough?

They may clear a small blockage, but repeated use can damage seals and hide a deeper issue.

When should I request pipe cleaning?

When the same point blocks several times or when several drains slow down together.
